Sakar's finished projects
« on: July 08, 2018, 20:09:31 PM »
Hi,

after some weeks of nothing to show, I have started a new thread for my projects, because it is not 2017 any more, and with the little sunshine in our flat, the project-types will also change a bit (I think).

So, what have I done in the last weeks? Of course fabric shopping  :D And with the new fabrics I have sewn a nice little quilt for the cats:

70x70cm, made out of only 4 fatquarters (but there was really nothing left :P), machine sewn an quilted, colours matching to our couch.

Thanks  :) Yes, he really loves it.

And some weeks ago I have used some left-over fabrics from my Bargello Quilts to sew this cushion covers.
40x40cm, machine sewn and quilted, experiments with different patterns (LogCabin and Hexagon) and colour combinations on front- and back-side.

After a very long time I can show you the "label quilt" for our little sunnyboy  :D

60x60cm, machine sewn, quilt as you go method,
Cutting, design and ideas by @Iminei and myself

My dear little son loves these small labels, which can be found on clothes, toys, etc. That's why, we made a quilt with A LOT OF labels  0_0 and some other materials and things to touch and discover. Leather, plastics, CamSnaps, wooden balls, cords, keys, buttons, fleece, jersey, denim.... And of course... A lot of labels  0_0

I hope he will like it  :)

Oh wow, all those are fabulous!  I love the 'label' quilt - what a great idea.  Love the colours too.

There are some great ideas there for me to copy. I like the cords going through the quilt.

These are all gorgeous and what a pampered cat! I am gradually making a busy/quiet book for my little granddaughter, which is a similar idea to your quilt, but has little quilted pages. I’m sure your little boy will have lots of fun with it

Yes, I realised that, but was commenting on all the lovely things Sakar had shown, including the beautiful star cat mat! Zwergy is an unusual name, but I knew it wasn’t the cat!
