Vogue patterns 40% discount

Just had an email from Sew Direct - time to stock up on those Vogue patterns at 40% off 

Presumably the same offer will be available from other suppliers.

Edit:  yup, sale at Jaycotts.

Edit again:  It seems the two new patterns I wanted (V9335 & V9332) are not available.

This reduction should apply to all Vogue suppliers in the UK and it runs to the beginning of September. The new autumn patterns haven't arrived in the UK yet. As Vogues have gone up in price and as it is only a 40% reduction not 50% it means that the most expensive designer Vogues are only reduced to £9.60 (not £7.50 like in the old days!)

I noted the 40% reduction, but thought someone might still want to take advantage.  Is 40% going to be the 'new normal'?

Sadly, I think it might be the new normal @UttaRetch . Apart from Burda all the big pattern companies are ìn the US and the pound has dropped against the dollar. I suppose costs go up anyway.

Just wondering about those new patterns - does any one know if they might be introduced after the sale?  Is that the way they work?

I'm not particularly bothered about either of them to be honest, but may have bought them at 40% off.

Vogue Autumn's patterns haven't made it to the UK yet, so there'll be a wait if you are relying on the sales.

The UK Vogue sale runs until the beginning of September @Bodgeitandscarper . I suspect the autumn Vogues won't be in by then but it's worth checking later in August just in case.

The Vogue autumn patterns are now up on   the Sew Direct website and are included in the 40% off sale.

Have you checked the line drawing? It looks like a fairly simple kimono style, the only detail being that the front doesn’t have a full width waist seam. It’s quite fitted at the waist on the model. I’m guessing the bust dart is moved to the waist dart, and that allows the side bodice to swing out enough to get the seam from the side seam to the waist dart position.
