But you should see, my very first 'coverlet' (not a quilt, two layers) there are so many botched bits, y seams whatever ... I had NO IDEA what I was doing whatsoever other than I wanted to make something 'large'... which I did but Oh my God!!!!

 I still sleep under it (did last night, will tonight) .... but have been wondering recently about picking it apart and .... doing it properly !

Aw, Im, leave it be. The idiosyncrasies are part of the charm of some work. My first sampler quilt was so awful- lots of missing points but really inconsistent on that, and one fabric that I'd already discovered was going to warp, twist and shrink when wet. I sent it camping with OH and suggested he burn it in the fire on his last day.  I meant it too. Several years later and he loves that thing. I sort of like it too.
