I used to be on the old site that disappeared. I am a quilter. When my children were small I made all of theirs and my clothes. It was only when I moved to Scotland to live and was taken to  quilting exhibition I got hooked.

At present I am about to quilt a quilt for a great grand daughter expected in October. That will be the 9th GGC!! :D

Welcome, I'm sure your great-grandchildren will all treasure their quilts. I make an advent calendar as a first Xmas gift for babies. Last year I made 4, though only 2 of those were my grandchildren. I started one this afternoon, for my 3rd grandchild, a boy due in December.

Hi @csarina - welcome from me too. I'm just about to start a play mat for GD who's expecting again in the New Year. That'll make 12 GC or GGC for us. They're great fun to make for, aren't they?  :)

Welcome Csarina, and might I say ... Good choice on your machines!

I had The Splurge (an Atelier 5) for a few years which I adored but was the made an offer I could not refuse and upgraded to The Splurgess (7) and sadly let The Splurge go and play with Fran ... Took a few days to get used to the mechanical moans and groans of The Splurgess but am now loving her.

I hope you hop over to The Darkside and join in on our BOM and Challenges ...

Hi csarina, welcome from me and congratulations on all your greatgrandchildren. After the October birth you'll be approaching double figures!!!
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.
