Janome Memory Craft 6600?

A friend has the opportunity to buy a used Janome Memory Craft 6600 Professional for $800 and asked my opinion. I know nothing about the brand or models. Is this a good price and dependable machine?

I had one of these machines until 18 months ago, until DH surprised me with a Janome 8900, and loved it.

Not a moment's trouble  <3, if you don't count user+induced ones - not de-flufging the bobbin race after quilting a KS quilt etc. Plenty of decorative stitches and extra feet available if you need them. It is a heavy beast but at least it's stable when sewing curtaining, soft furnishings and bags.
The paint did wear off the base at the front edge over time but that was only cosmetic.
I sold mine online with a starting price of £150 and got £395 for it from a lady who travelled over 100 miles to collect it. She considered that she had got a good deal.
'Jill' of many aspects of sewing, "Mistress" of few.
