Have you got a Stable

Just seen this on a website and it made me smile.

"I was recently asked by someone I met on holiday whether I had a stable. When I said I had a sewing room not a stable she replied, no, a STABLE, Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy. I think I probably have that!"

Well based on my expected future life time, no I haven't but there again if you always have a surplus on 'stock', it's bound to happen.
Stash extension 2024- 6.1 meters
Left at the end of 2023 - 66 meters now (includes fabric found hidden out of sight)  Lining fabric not included

Oh I definitely have a STABLE - and the best bits were originally someone else's STABLE.

Yes I know it as SABLE and I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned on TSP before at some time or other. Oh and I have one  of course!  ;)

@Tamnymore   good idea except I suspect there are quite a few rodents living in the stable and I wouldn`t put it past them to eat fabric

Yes - and ours have swallows and sundry other visitors roosting there overnight.  Definitely not good for the stash.

Lots of space though...
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I love those piles of fabric. You can just go in an find something for a shirt, trousers, curtains for the kitchen,...

True, a friend came to pick my brains about something to cover the webbing of a chair he was repairing. Brown, white or cream he said, and there on my table  was abut 70cm of a strong cream calico left from the backing of a roman blind that was finished the daybefore. It was too good to throw. Serendipity!
