The Big Textile Show

This morning, I've been to The Big Textile Show at Leicester Racecourse.  What a lovely little show it is!

I had booked a batik workshop but sadly I received an email to say that it had been cancelled so I did a kantha workshop instead.  I'm stitching a fish.

The highlight of the show was the exhibition of textiles by many groups and individual textile artists from the local area.  So many talented women people.  Some truly inspiring work.

I was very restrained on the retail front, although I did buy a stitchbook starter kit from Kim Edith. 

Have come away feeling that I don't want to go back to work.  I want to stay at home and create!
