Marvellous Didi.....very pretty!

Do not sweat the measurements Girls....
Especially with this block as there are no points to cut off...
Make it 8" sq or 7 1/2" ....
as long as (if you making a quilt or hanging) the others are squared down to the same size.

Here's mine.  I enjoyed making it but am not sure it's exactly square.  I need a 12 1/2" square ruler.   :(

It's lovely,Pearl
I'm rubbish with rulers - never know where / how to place them to get the correct measurements to cut  :| I often end up having to cut lefthandedly  :| I think a 12.5" square ruler might help me... but.....who knows?

Well, Iminei has shamed me into making another block instead of submitting my original one from last year.  Here is my effort.

Thank you.

I have ordered a ruler, Low, but by the time I've squared it up, my block will probably about 4".

Yours is lovely, Plosh.  I think I suffer from fabric envy.

We probably all have fabric envy.  I love your batik and Vege's cherry fabric but I wouldn't have anything to go with them so I would have to get something else as well  :)

What I loved about this block is how easy it was to choose the fabrics.  I had three options and my daughter chose.

Choosing fabric is always easier than making the block, if cutting is involved  :D

No I find it harder to pick the fabric... the cutting is the easy part... the most expensive fabric I ever cut was a French corded lace that cost £150 per metre.. that was about 20 years ago it was for a wedding dress ..  I did check it a few times before I cut :D
