I dug out my birdie quilt top, have cut wadding and backing material. After lunch will press and pin, then head to the sewing machine.

I should be able to find something hanging around to finish. There is a quilt top languishing in the stash somewhere. And a dress to be topstitched and hemmed.  Do alterations count?

Ooops, thank you for alerting me....

Ah, I might be able to enter this. I thought we only had a month. I have an advent calendar for GS2 which I wasn't able to complete between his birth on 17/12 and Christmas. It just needs his name & birthdate embroidering on the back.

I forgot    :S   about this thread. Is there a way we can keep a proper record of the UFO's that we have and finish ???

Well I finished Novembers BOM Quilt, I might haul Elvis out and embroider the name of it, (which is SUNRISE, by the way Lowena)

So thats one down!

Novembers BOM top ... Completed!
TSP Star block swap ... Backing needs making, layering, quilting and binding
A Good Year for the Roses quilt ... the blasted butterflies need over embroidering, then binding
(I fear this will never be finished)
Illusion block quilt (remember that) ... Backing, Layering, QAYG, Binding
100 shades of grey quilt ... Fabric needs buying to finish the top, backing, layering, quilting and binding
The 2019 Coverlet ... In progress
Jan Hassards Strips Galore ... finish piecing, layer, back and bind   :[   :S
The Temperature Quilt ... To be finished in 2020!

I've totted up that there are SIX UFO's that I can possibly finish before the end of the year; One every two months .. Surely thats doable??? (were it not for the Blasted Butterflies quilt Grrrr)

@Lowena To identify them.
Try to talk to another sewing friend about your projects and then you have to start every sentence with "Do you remeber the quilt, I started 3 moths ago with this strange colours...."  :S :P

It's easier to say "I have started a project with ... idea and that's why i gave him that ... name" And everybody knows, what you are talking about. ;)

@Sakar  I don't have any sewing friends, or even anyone who is remotely interested in anything I've ever made. They're all piled in boxes and there are no need for names.
I can't understand why anyone would name a project, but , it's probably just me  :(

Umm, we also name our cars and often our houses. And I know of a lot of people right here with names for their sewing machines. I don't give my quilts  personal names, like Bert or Rebecca.

I drive Monte, a Chevy Monte Carlo and OH drives an Infiniti FX by name of Rusty. Rusty is a lovely burnt copper color.

The house is Chateau Nene.  :toast:

PS: Read a shoe box some time. Years ago a friend got a job at a shoe company and part of the job was to name the shoes. She had an awful time at first. We all got shoes named after us that year.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

I don't name houses, vehicles or garments but I don't mind if others do :-)
I do name my seasonal colour based sewing collections but they are pretty obvious like Autumn Berries or Summer Seas.

My current UFO that I look at and do nothing with is 'that olive green wool jacket'. Sometime this year I'll do something with it, honest.

@Iminei love the roses quilt. I have a patchwork skirt (now confined to gardening) I made with the same roses fabric about 7 years ago.
@Bodgeitandscarper I am with you I don't have any UFO, I can't stand not to get stuff finished. So this is not for me.
It's not easy being this perfekt
