Oooooh!  there's some wonderful eye candy there 0_0

Congrats and RESPECT to all those who made those gorgeous quilts.  I think my favourite is the 'bees do it' but I also like the teeny squares which make circles, the brown circles and squares, the sunburst quilt, the wonkiness of the green squares, that's a real scrap-quilt and the precision of the one that's circles folded over squares (0028)  and well all of them really.

Thank you for sharing :flower: :flower:

Beautiful I can only dream of ever being able to do anything like those. There are some incredibly talented people around. I like the bees as well and the modern white quilt

Superb thankyou so much Iminei for my vitual quilt show! Loved it!  <3

I have actually got two books for that photomosaic technique got them from the author (via e-bay I think). I got as far as getting a box with enough compartments and some squared foundation .... the only reason I've not given it a go Is I haven't got good enough photo editing software ... yet ...... but one of these days! (Actually there are a million and one reasons but you know how it is!) I'm glad you shared this one as I've only ever seen the examples that were in the book.

All of them were awe inspiring! Glad you enjoyed your day and the break from the decorating chaos!

Last year at the FoQ there was a huge Nelson Mandela, I rarely read the title cards as its usually too busy.

The show this weekend was quite quiet and we got there early doors so I had time and space to peer at a few (hence knowing some of the titles...The birds do it etc) but completely forgot to see who made the two photo mosaic quilts.....
The David is so similar to last years Nelson Mandela I wonder if it was the same Lady.

(you can see I couldn't get far enough back for a really good pic)

Who was the author of that book Lantana ??

Oh thanks for the photos Iminei, some beautiful work. I don't know how people find the time to do some of the designs, especially the 1" squares, such patience. sadly I don't have the artistic flare to design things like that. I wonder if any of the quilts will make it to FOQ in August.
