Lovely!

Looks like we've both been doing the same thing this morning.  :)

I have an idea of how I'm going to do some sort of border on mine to finish the top.

I'm a bit miffed that I don't have a temperature quilt for the hot, hot summer of 2018...I don't have enough fabric to make a full size one so I'm making a mini one.

This is quite a flattering photo.
It was going a bit banana-shaped when I started to join the second strip to the third one, but I persuaded it to lie flat with a damp cloth and a hot iron.  >:)
The wrinkles are terrible in real life.  :|

Finished height of the triangles is three-quarters of an inch.

Wonderful ... how big is it?

I'm thinking of showing mine at FOQ this year, as it will be too big for any other practical use.
Pearl mentioned she might show hers too ... I think the minimum size has to be 1 metre on any one side

Maybe we could enter these as our TSP group entry ???

Wouldn't that be great...to have them all entered at the FOQ.... 0_0

OMG!....I'd have to quilt it.  :S  I'm not a quilter.

I put the border on mine last night, and I'm pleased with it.  :) Finished size is 48" x 57"

Yes you are a quilter and that size would be relatively easy!

Finished the piecing and wanted to share, so it hasn't been pressed or threads snipped.
Showed OH who said what he always does... " that's lovely, what are you going to do with it? " " You know you have a quilt in there? " ( spare bedroom )  :D  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Even the cold, grey days of winter look bright and cheerful there, @Lowena .    0_0

If you have five bedrooms @Lowena, you need five quilts. Plus a sofa quilt. Plus a quilt to put over you when taking tea on the terrace at dusk in the summer ....

Your temperature quilt is lovely.

@Lowena And you will need some spares for when those are in the wash... (yes, quilts are washable ;))

@Deafoldbat and @fajita OH would have apoplexy!!
He says that we have lovely, expensive duvets on all the beds, why would one want to cover them up?
He also hates "clutter" on furniture  :D
@Iminei the black strip is to make it longer. I was going to embroider "2019 temperature quilt"on it but I can't be bothered

Lovely piccies of completed tops.  I haven’t started mine yet though got all the temperatures written down and fabrics ready.
I’ve decided to keep going till little ones first birthday but can’t decide if make it her first year or include this as a little extra on the whole of 2019.

Well despite my thinking I had found the backing fabric for the temperature quilt by means of Ikea, Coventry and a very helpful VIPearl yesterday proved otherwise as I came across a double sided double duvet set in a much better match for the top ...

linky

all that cotton lovlieness ... 2ms x 2m's of double sided print plus two double sided pillowcases ... for a tenner ..

At that price I was dubious of the material but No! 100% cotton!!! Woo Hoo!!

So really no reason not to get on with it ... is there .. :[ ... can anyone think of any more excuses???
