Oh @Iminei I’m a bit worried about that top left HSRT thingy. Were  you very down that day or has your bit of Dorset gone so far to the dark side.

OOpps didnt realise I hadnt posted my progress this week ...yet, Ive still got 12 hours!

Anyhow I finished January on Friday as I had a busy week (well relatively for me) but Im well aware that some of you (pulls glasses halfway down her nose and looks sternly over them) might have assumed I had given up ... and even before finishing a single month (Oh the shame of it!!) well I havent so may I present January 2019 in all its (large) glory!!!

linky

Ive even included the fairy frost to indicate the  snowdays!

February has started and here is the first week ....

Slightly worrying about how large this might turn out (Brendaaaaaa )

January (being the longest month) has turned out at 30 3/4" x 23 1/2" (UF) and Im planning to QAYG it, 4 x 3 (?? Brendaaaaa??) using joining strips.

That's looking great @Iminei .
I'm still...yes, still!... at the planning stage with mine. I've got an idea for colours and how I'm going to lay it out, but I'd really like to see them all together, and hand pick them.
And now I've got distracted with the Murder Mystery quilt.  0_0

I'm wondering if I dare wait until the FoQ and choose all the colours there...but I don't want to risk being bored with the idea by then.
If I start it now (ish), and have all the fabrics...then I won't give up half way. I've thought of going out on a jolly to Cotton Patch. They'd have a good selection. I know it's in Birmingham somewhere but I'm not sure how easy it is to get to.

30.75" long and 23.5" wide. Each month will be the same because of the blank bits each end.

Make the quilt 4 months wide and 3 months in length
That will make it 94 inches wide  and 95.25 inches long.
Add on (at least) 1 inch for each sashing strip and it comes to
97 inches wide x 97.25 inches long
Plus any borders or extra width in the sashing.

Methinks that about right for a kingsize bed.  0_0

Another option might be to make the quilt double sided with six months on each side.
3 blocks wide x 2 blocks deep
That would be a total of 73.5 inches x 62 inches (plus any extras)

*** just 1/2" for the SS's Brenda ... (1" cut)

It’s easy to get to from M42.  Take the junction for Shirley and it’s on that road (A34).  The other side of Brum to you, though, @Sandra .

Ah @BrendaP , Goddess of Colour, Mathmagician of quilting Maths ...

Thank you, even tho I dont really even understand that completely!

Double sided might well be a thing as a kingsize on my bed looks wrong, (think HSTathon)

BUT I dont have to decide until whenever .... although it will stop me QAYGing it until we reach June ...mmmnnnn

Doubled sided or Kingsize.....  :o Those questions are not for me, I already had to reduce the hexagon's size because I don't know, if I had enough fabic... :\
But January is done  :)

@Sakar ...which fabric??? The Spraytime rainbow you bought when you were last here???

Spraytime is widely available  ... but there are many many colours within the range and no way to differentiate them without a swatch.

@Pearl  I'd have to get there using  :S public transport :S

It's easy enough for me to get into Birmingham...I use the Metro, but I'd have to plan the journey getting out of the city by bus. I assume there must be a bus service down that way.

yes, the spraytime fabric. I found a shop in Germany which offers them too, but as you said, it's difficult to select the right colours... I already thought about sending fabric scraps to the shop to say: "Look, that's what  I need"

Thats the way to go @Sakar if their postage rates and prices are reasonable ...

but it is the standard Makower colour range so you shouldnt have any difficulty getting it from England and (you would hope) other fabric retailers in Europe.
