Ok Ive made it here from the mystery quilt thread, I would like to join in this sew along, I have read my way through the beginning of the posts and think I have the idea but have a couple of questions?

1.  Can I do just the daytime temperature
2.  How many colours do I need to use is it in 1 degree jumps or docent it matter
3.  Can I really use any block I want

I do have a limited stash of quilting fabrics and don't really want to buy a large amount of fabric especially all at once.

I am off to investigate my colour range, any suggestions for simple blocks will be great
thanks in advance

Your quilt @Celia , your Rules!!!!

Simple blocks ... how about squares or rectangles?

Just consider the size of the overall quilt ... 365 blocks in 12 sections. ... If you want to separate the months you need some blanks too, as Im doing.

Im using several fabrics of the same kinda hue for same temps, basically whatever I had to hand ... but you can use one colour per degree, 3 degrees or 5 degrees ... your quilt, your rules!!!

Mine is going to be a full size double and Im waiting til the end of June to decide whether to make the quilt one whole year on one side or double sided... as Im QAYGing it Im not too worried about size.

@Celia my idea was to make it as open ended as people want. I personally am only doing daytime temperatures.I am doing rectangles and probably 1 degree differentials, but I haven't quite decided yet. Every choice is entirely yours....I'm not being dictatorial, just pleased that people want to join in. I suggest you look at your fabrics colour range and go forward from there. I'm so pleased to welcome you aboard <3

Mine was a last minute decision to add the night time temps too.

It was after I'd sat down with pencil and paper and started to look at the size it was going to be that I realised the proportions worked better for me with the two sets of temperatures.

It's great Celia. You can do it in any way you like.  0_0

It's starting to look really interesting.  I'm afraid I got no further than keeping a list of January temperatures and it ain't going to happen now.
Life's too short for ironing.

I may lay out the 5 months I've completed so far to see whether I will make a double sided quilt as per Brendas excellent suggestion or have all on one side. Ill post pics after I have done so.
