5 issues for £5 from here
You just need to cancel the direct debit after issue 5 so you don't get charged the full price for future issues.

I have a whole years worth of these, complete with patterns untouched by human hand but they weigh a ton, so Ive never thought anyone would be interested in them.

Noooo!
I’m trying to read EVERYTHING I can about ‘sewing’ because the more I read, I realise the less I know.  :D
I’m also watching YouTube too.

Seriously, this site is Amazing but there’s so much I don’t understand. It’s like learning a foreign language where the natives are speaking to you nice and slowly but if you don’t have the vocabulary, you’re still in the dark.

I’ve already bought a kindle magazine subscription to Sew magazine. this month.
Magazines cost a lot to import to Ireland so even buying them from the newsagent is a lot more expensive than simply the euro conversion from the sterling cover price. I briefly considered buying a subscription and sending them to my sister in the UK and asking her to bring them across when she visits in the summer. But with the uncertainty of “Bloody Brexit” (!) no-one wants to book any travel until it’s resolved. Aargh!

I do have a U.K. postal address in Herts. Anything that’s posted to it gets sent to my Irish home address via the Irish postal service for a small fee. It’s brilliant but if I bought a magazine subscription, it would cost me an extra £3.50 postage to Ireland with each copy. Could still work out cheaper than buying from the local newsagent though!

@WildAtlanticWay have you looked at Threads magazine?   You can get it sent direct from the USA. Alternatively you can opt for an online version.  Check out their website for masses of info, videos, articles etc.  AND if you become a Threads Insider you get access to even more stuff!

You're welcome. If you can get hold of some old copies of the mag they're even better than recent ones. Enjoy!

Brexit is the single biggest nightmare to happen in my 53years on this planet!

I have made a new home in Ireland but after Brexit, there is no certainty and I feel very anxious about what will happen to my family. If we are no longer European citizens, we will have no right to reside here and our status is unknown. Many of my British friends who have Irish connections are applying for Irish citizenship.
We do not want to return to live in the UK but we may have no choice as we haven’t lived here long enough to apply for Citizenship. My husband receives ongoing treatment/support for cancer following his diagnosis 5 years ago which is due to a reciprocal arrangement with the U.K./EU. We cannot afford to pay thousands for treatment/medicines so what will we do? We moved here to the south west coast for the lack of pollution and DH has been much healthier since living here.

My husband took early retirement from his work due to the illness and we’ve already seen almost a 20% drop in our income since 2016, simply due to the Pound plummeting against the Euro.

After Brexit, we won’t be able to drive on a British driving licence (because we’re not classed the same as visitors to Ireland with UK driving insurance cover) so we’ll have to apply for Irish licences but until we know what our legal status is, we can’t really do anything! DH and DS passports have recently run out, but again, there’s no point paying for new ones if they cease to be valid after March.

Its all very well the politicians saying the relationship with Ireland is special etc. But the fact that they can’t even resolve the situation of the border in NI shows how utterly incompetent they are.  :(

This idea that crashing out without a deal is perfectly fine just shows the complete lack of awareness and critical thinking on behalf of a minority of Brits.  :'(

Sorry, I’ve gone on a bit of a rant there.  :S

You're preaching to the choir, @WildAtlanticWay !  Mr Pearl's grandparents were Irish so he's applied for an Irish passport but it doesn't extend to me or the children.

No code needed, when I click on the link it definitely says £5 for 5 issues.

Drat, it only shows the full price so I’m guessing it detects that I’m not based in the UK.  :S

It would be worth it for that price as I could use my UK postal address and then pay to have them flown over, but not to worry.

Thank you. I followed your instructions and found the offer, BUT, when you go to the shopping basket, it says next to the magazine image in very small print...
5 issues for £5, then 6 issues for £29.49
so you’re actually agreeing to pay for a year long contract for £34.49. It doesn’t say you’re welcome to cancel the contract after 5 issues.

What a swizz.   >:)

It does in the small print and in the confirmation e mail you get. You just have to cancel the DD as soon as you have the 5th copy. I subscribe on a regular basis to sewing mags that are on special offers and then just cancel the direct debit before you stat paying full price.
