Fabrics: Craft Cotton, Silk Damask (SES), Silk something else  (SES), Slippery Frayable Faux Silk (SES)



These went together wonderfully until I came to the yellow/black/copper/blue set ... Take two very slippery faux fabrics one of which frays alarmingly and try and sew them together and you're heading for trouble ...

I might go back and redo them ... or I might not!

I think Ive got all the blocks I need to add the last row to the first third, if you know what I mean ... There's no way this beast is going to be quilted as one!

So maybe I will call this the 2020 quilt, the year of the Royal Plague!

and YES I do want to post within this topic, thats why I spent 10 minutes looking through pages of Darkside threads to find it .....

So today, finally I made the last block needed to complete the next row of this quilt ...

Then I sewed the row together...

and then I attached it to the bottom of the quilt so far

and NOW Im debating whether to  layer and quilt it before bracing myself for the BIG blocks that come next ...
