I would love to own a Featherweight one day and I know they are very popular and in demand, but that is a ridiculous price.

Crikey that is a lot. I keep hoping I'll come across a Featherweight cheaply in a charity shop one day.  :D

That has to be "shill" bidding.

There are several currently listed for even more, up to $1,999 and equally several for under $100. Does make you wonder.

Many of my quilty friends have Featherweights and love them.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

I have one very similar for sale (asking £400).
Maybe I should ask my DH to make a video and put it on ebay.....

I was very lucky and was given a 222k.

My Featherweight (221k) was in an antique shop labelled at £85.  Mr Acorn paid less than that for it (my Christmas present just over a year ago), but I don't know how much less.  It's in pretty good condition (wiring needed slight attention, and case smells musty, but otherwise excellent).

I know 222ks are dearer and more desireable, but that is absurd.  Something definitely looks fishy.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I didn't know they made a free-arm version. Very nice condition, has to be said.
Singer 538, there are many like it, but this one is mine.
