Just spent 4.5hrs cutting out all the pieces for my Project Linus Quilt
This evening I shall begin to make the initial blocks. I'm aiming for 36" x 36" when blocks are finished, then a narrow ( " ) border before binding..... but...... who knows??  :ninja:

On the home straight.  I'm hand sewing the binding down.  I just squeezed it out of the leftover bits of fabric.

Right, the second quilt top that meets the TSP colour requirements is ready for quilting, but I’ve a dilemma when it comes to the binding. Do I go with the one that looks better but is the “wrong” colour or do I go with the one that is within the “rules”?

I would go for the better looking one.  The rules are informal suggestions for the TSP challenge.  PL will accept any colour or design, but the nicer they look the better for the eventual recipient.

My quilt does not follow the rules to the letter. The rules are just suggestions.Go with what looks the best

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve had a rummage in my stash and found a couple of other options that might work so I will see how they look once the quilting is finished.

Well I’ve got my fabric, A very safe choice, but that’s just me at the moment. My quilting chutzpah seems to have gone walk about.

I have a totally free day on Saturday, so no matter how good the weather is I am going to get all my pieces cut and sorted. I can then just piece a block a day until my DH free weekend in early July, when I can make up the top, layer, quilt and bind. Then post off to Imi on the Monday.

That’s the plan anyway  :S

I intended to stitch the borders on mine at my quilt group yesterday.  I had pressed it and it was on my board so I thought I must remember that in the morning as I put my bits together.  In the morning I thought it again while I ate my breakfast.  I finished packing my bits, got in my car and went to my group.  When there I set everything out and I had the borders but the main piece was still on my board at home.  Good job I only live ten minutes away.

I've finished and I love it  :loveit:  (Is it alright to love your own stuff?)
I have remembered to take pictures.
@Iminei do you want it sent to you yet or would you rather wait until nearer the time?

Right ladies, 3 and a bit weeks to go to FOQ and the Project Linus handover ... How you coming?

If you are sending to me, for me to deliver them to FOQ please allow enough time for them to get here.

PM me for my address if you dont already have it and do let me know when to expect it to arrive.

I will be at the mezzanine from 12ish on the Thursday ready to meet up with anyone and everyone who wants to get together and hopefully we will descend en masse after 1pm to the PL stand for a mass donate and photos!

I’ve not really been following this thread closely since I posted my quilt. How many do you have, Imi? Hope that you all have a lovely get together at FOQ and that there’s a good sized bundle for Project Linus.

Mine is all wrapped up and awaiting posting. Will post it this week sometime, possibly tomorrow.

It's been so long since I finished it and wrapped it up, I can barely remember what it looks like.

Have fun at the handover.
