Pixlr Express requires Flash player 10

This is a problem for Mac (Apple) and firefox users as both have blocked use of Flash.  Admittedly, I am not using the most up to date software for either because I cannot go beyond OSX 10.6.8 in Apple or firefox 48.0.2

Hmm, I don't think that's correct. I don't have Flash and Pixlr works for me as it uses HTML5.

Perhaps this is a browser issue...

You can, however, download a desktop version of Pixlr if that helps.

Okay.  I will look at the desktop version, but I have repeatedly downloaded Adobe flash player and it never works.  I am relieved that the BBC is gradually moving over to HTML5.

I am going to check my plugins as I suspect that I have some outdated versions.

If you are using a Mac you don't need any third party software to reduce the size of your photos.

Save them into Photos, edit/crop if you wish, and then click 'file' on the top toolbar and choose export You will be asked for Jpeg quality and size - medium and medium is generally fine for TSP gallery - and then choose where to put the exported file; desktop is easiest.

Then when you insert an image on TSP you get the 'browse' option so navigate to your desktop and choose that image to upload.

Thanks Brenda, but I do know how to resize in Previw.  However, if you want your image to be in-post, such as,

you need a weblink hence using Pixlr to resize.  An attachment from, say, your desktop doesn't require a weblink but it will put the image at the bottom of the post.
