@Celia
Main colour she had down as 'your favourite colour) that's the 3.5 yards.  Half a yard for stems and leaves, Two toning halves for feature (about 1/3 of quilt I think) and another to make the first one 'pop'  which I am  guessing is to bring it to life.  The others are accent colours.  5 lots of halves (could be 2FQs?) and 5 single FQ
Does that help you look at your stash with new eyes?

Thank you @toileandtrouble the information is what I needed, I have been through my quilting fabrics ( I really don't have a lot, well compared to Imi :devil:) as much as I would like to do this I really think I must do something with the fabrics I have especially as I am still very much a beginner at quilting.

I will be watching you all with interest

Managed to finish my first blocks.
Handy hints for those who don't know them:
1. Do not cut backwards if the rotary cutter doesn't cut cleanly. It will infallible cut out and trash the piece you are working on.
2. Follow the instructions, especially about which side you attach the pieces.
3. Do not iron the joins until you have checked them. It will make them harder to unpick.
4. Have sewing machine, cutting mat and ironing board all on the same floor of the house.
As you can see, I have learnt a lot already.  Always ready to save you the journey!

I've had a small parcel arrive today with just two fabrics. A lovely marbled orange and a purply magenta sort of colour...they're nice and bright. I'm pleased with these 2 for starters. These are some of the half-yard colours.

The main package is (I think) on its way.  :)

The fabrics I've got in front of me are a little darker than they look in the picture.

I think these should stand out nicely against my plain, sandy, beigey background. I'm looking forward to all the fabrics arriving so I can see if they work as well together as I'm hoping they will.

I keep getting partway and then it drops out due to insufficient storage.  In humanspeak, I think too many people are trying to access it at once and the site can't cope.
