Lovely. I'm thinking I might splash out and buy something for my background instead of using what was in the cupboard.  It would mean redoing the January blocks but might be happier at the end of the year. I want my banana leaves to stand out like that.

Glad I decided not to join in. I thought it was all just proper blocks - it wasn't made very clear. I can't / don't do machine applique  :(

I'm going to have to, as usual, buy some more of the Dark blue batik ... everything else is good tho'!

Apparently they've tripled their server capacity after this months block release !!!  0_0

I always think I don't like applique, but that is gorgeous.

Did I say banana leaves?  They are the wrong shape, Monstera of course, as it said.  Must have been thinking about that pit!

I'm still waiting for fabrics, but I have had the bulk of it arrive in the post yesterday. I've got a much better idea now of what I think I'm going to use, and what looks good together.

But  :( ....Ugh!...missing the main, background one,  'Out Of Stock', so *tut*  ;)  I've had to buy it from somewhere else.
And you know how it is when, 'just in case' fabrics drop into the online basket...

OK...

This is where I'm at so far.

I'm happy with my featured fabrics.  :)

I need to adjust the accents/half yard pieces...that's the middle ones in the picture. I've got some good blues ( and a green, I think?) coming in the post which I hope will sit in amongst them better. This selection looks like something's missing.
....then I'll have a better look at the fat quarter/accents pile to see what goes best.

I now know that February's block shows that AC9 ought to be leafy green, so that's what the odd piece is sitting by the olive colour.  :)

I like the Olive ... and (like the lady from the Aldi/Lidl ad) I like the patterned green next to it...

Why not use the Olive behind and the patterned in front ???

I also like the fuschia in the same pattern (Im a great fan of using the same range of fabrics within a project)

Hang on, here are mine, I managed to get them all in a 4litre RUBox

Excepting the background blue batik which, as youve probably guessed, does not come from Cherry Tree ... So its Midsommer or Doughty's or nearest match!" Oooh errr!

That's what I'm going to do.  :) I have the 'half yard' in the olive and only a fat quarter in the patterned green...so that's what I'm going to have to do.
I mustn't buy even more fabric... :[

Love your fabric stash.  :loveit:
