I'm now up to date with both of the blocks.  :)

January...

and February...

I outlined my leaves using my 'towelling stitch'.  ><
I've had my little old Bernina for over 20 years, and last year I decided to have a look at the special stitches I can do on it...I know...I don't rush myself, do I?  0_0
(When I bought it, all I needed it to do was straight stitch, a zig zag, and a nice buttonhole. The only other stitch I've ever used has been the blind hem for when I do curtains.)

I now have a little bit of fabric with samples of the stitches. Number 11 - Towelling, is like a blanket stitch...so that's what I've used. Not sure I'd have had the patience for satin stitch...toooo curvy.

@Sandra  Glad you are up to date! I have a ring binder and I'm putting the instructions in pockets, back to back so I can refer to them like a book, but the story I'm putting in the back of the binder and adding each chapter as it comes in. Can't see any clues so far, can you? I have sent in my second block by email but am waiting to get the extra clue. This was a bad choice for someone who can't put a book down once she has started it, I'm having to learn patience!

I'm not going for the extra clues @toileandtrouble

I don't do Facebook or Instagram to be able to submit my finished blocks.
I know I'm able to send my blocks in an email, and I'd be able to receive the extra clues that way, but I really can't be bothered with the faff.
I'm happy just doing the blocks.  :)

Sandra I can post the extra clues here if you want ??

I cant understand how, as the story has just begun there can be clues as to the killer yet

JANUARY 2019 BONUS CLUE:

Underneath and covered up
What's newest must be on top
How did the hand that tipped the glass
Find itself under the pig in the grass?

FEBRUARY 2019 BONUS CLUE:

They say it’s not the crime
It’s the cover up
That makes for sinful actions
For in the heat
Clear thought is gone
Smothered by great passion

Ooooooh.......Thank you!  :* @Iminei

Hope the site doesn't crash again as we all log in at the same time. I think it was fixed though, wasn't it?

I'm looking forward to seeing what we need to do for this months block.

Have you got your next chapter, ladies?  Isn't it exciting?
It downloaded really easily this time.  :)

I've just been re-shuffling fabrics around trying to find which ones will look best for this new block. I think I'm going to put a nice hot pink in this one.

GOT IT! They did treble the server capacity and then had to go up to 6 times.. There must be a lot of subscribers.  Notice that Deborah has done archaeology, as my husband said, it has a lot in common with detective work.  Probably why AC went into crime fiction. That, and a lot of waiting around thinking while her husband was out digging!
I hope this doesn't get too addictive, I have quite a few little jobs coming in, besides what I want to do for myself and the family.

Oh... yes....I hadn't noticed but I'm sure I'd have figured it out by the time I was putting it all together.

I've cut out all the pieces for this month...all 92 of them  :S  ><

I'm going to need to take this one slowly so I don't get in a muddle, and to make sure I get the right, and left correct.

See how organised I am  with my fabric scraps stapled in so I remember which colours I'm using.  8)  0_0

I stapled mine too, but not neatly like yours,  they are raggy offcuts -  I am paranoid about running out of  a colour.  Also cut out all the bits, 92? I hadn't added it up, but I started pairing up the first sets and I seem to have lost a tiny square already. Better get them stitched down quick.

I'm cutting my fabrics so, so carefully, so I don't waste anything, and I'm keeping any off-cut safe, cos you never know if it'll come in handy.
In fact, there was a little scrap of my background fabric which I'd put to one side, and I've been able to use it this month for some of the tiny squares...it pleased me so much to be able to do this.  0_0

I'm hoping I won't run out of anything either.  -<
