It's all coming along nicely.  :)

Nothing wrong with missing points off your green bits.  ;)

@toileandtrouble can I ask what that watery fabric is please? When I decided to do the boys' quillows I looked everywhere for suitable fabric for 'a river' for our medal winning oarsman (did I mention he'd won a medal for Ireland?!??!  :)) and came up with various shades of dull blue.  :S Yours is lovely and would be perfect.  :loveit:
I'm loving this thread. Haven't a clue what's going on but the blocks are great.  0_0

Someone on the FB site mentioned something about losing points and suggested cutting the small end squares  (BG1) 1 1/2" instead of 1 1/4" which I did and it worked out fine.
Someone else also suggested just cutting the middle of the three layers out so you had a straight uncut piece to sew to (when joining the blocks at the end) if your add on sq went a lil wonky ... all good advice.

I always cut whilst sitting down ( my back hurts too much for me to stand ) Is that why I have problems with my cutting straight?? What can be done about it??

@Lowena  I think you need to be high enough above the table to look down on the fabric, I wasn't.
@wrenkins  It is Riley Blake, Sharktown.  It was 2017, I don't know how long they sell them for, but I got mine at the Sewing Centre in Scarborough.

Lovely, thank you, @Iminei . I've jotted it down to add it in my folder.

I meant to ask, is your DIL still sewing along with this @toileandtrouble ?

@Sandra  Yes, she is, but she has been busy this month and is just starting the March block.  Did you see Deborah's comment about the vines?  "If you like them now, just wait until  you see them in the quilt!"
Thanks @Iminei , I've sent my blocks in but haven't got the clue yet.

I can't imagine how all of this is going to go together when we're finished making all the blocks, but I'm enjoying myself so far.  :)

Well as the two Monstera leaves are the only single block, so far, my ordered (hahhahahah thats a joke) mind insists it must be at the centre of the quilt.

The new block for April has now been added ladies @Iminei  and @toileandtrouble

At first glance I'm thinking it looks complicated/fiddly.  :S

I've got it too!  I had been looking for the countdown, but then got the email.
Perhaps the  templates are there for tuition, for people who are totally new to quilting.  Important to realise that you must have it at 100%, so a good lesson there.

Hmmmm....strange. It says...*NOTE...When trimming your blocks, you may lose some or all of piece A2.

It's definitely missing on the finished block shown. So why bother with it?
Or...squidge up the other two inner 'petals' to make more room for it.  ><
