I just sewed through my hump jumper! I know it's a powerful machine, but I was amazed.

Ha Ha when I read that I thought you meant a really thick jumper. It took a second to realise you meant the actual hump jumper!  0_0 0_0 0_0

I only found out a few weeks ago what it was actually for.  The times I've picked it up and puzzled over it. :S

Mind you still not had chance  to use it yet.

@coffeeandcake do you also have a Pfaff or are all machines capable of going through 5mm of solid plastic?

Only when you don’t want them too.  :). Hope you haven’t put your timing out!

@Ohsewsimple the machine is fine, it didn't even need to rest, which it does after breaking a needle when I try to sew a metal foot ><. I had to redo the seam after disentangling the thread from the plastic though.

Yes @Lachica I have a Pfaff  Expression 4.2.  My previous Pfaff was an Ambition 2.  I'm a big fan of Pfaffs and changed machines for some extra features. Loving my new machine.

Solid plastic isn't a rock. 0_0 That type has some flexibility to it, probably so we don't shatter needles when we do this.  Do get rid of that needle though. It's definitely seen better days.  ;)

Pfaff's are great aren't they? I don't have one but I've sewn on a friend's. Very nice.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

I have a Pfaff Creative 2134. It is getting on in years now, but I love it.

I love my Pfaff too, it’s a lovely machine, bit touchy to start but once it’s going it’s a tank!

I've seen a 3.2 select for £219 ex-demo just come up on ebay - shall I buy it?
That would leave me with two absolutely redundant machines plus the Janome  Atelier 5, and the Bernina Record 930.
Am I mad?
I'm feeling very guilt about the extravagance  -  and am  posting this by way of a bit of self-help/therapy....
Shall I buy it ??

@annieeg Can you sell any of your other machines if only to justify it to yourself?

@coffeeandcake
I'm hoping to make contact with a charity to donate the two redundant machines (Janome Schoolmate 7330 and Brother Create & Craft 130).  I've tried to sell them in the past without success and TBH, I feel better about spending more money  if at least I feel the [no-longer-loved] machines are going to a good cause. ;)
