Lovely napkins Morzel!

I've used to same technique to make 'receiving blankets' for babies.  Simple, but very effective.

Lovely napkins @Morzel you have some very nice fabrics.

It’s a wonderful technique, I’ve also used it for baby blankets and I think you’v just given me an idea for my solstice mini quilt.  ;)

What fun napkins, morzel.   I like the idea of doing them bound like that.  A good way to use smaller scraps too.

Mine are all sewn right sides together with an opening to turn out and then top stitched.  But, I think I'll try this next time.  They might come out of the dryer less wrinkled.

I finally finished my Stylearc Martha overshirt. The trouble now is I’m not sure if it will ever be warm enough to wear it.

The pattern of the fabric is a little outside my comfort zone, I think stripes are a bit racy.

This plus a few new things for DD means a nice little stash reduction.

The next project is a dress for my 7 month old GD, don’t think it’s going to make much of a dent.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Fabulous @Ellabella . I know what you mean about temperature. Cardis and heating on here!

Love the blouse @Ellabella . The hot weather will be back I am sure, as I bought a new fan!
I think its a good idea to have a few things for very warm weather as when it does arrive the motivation to sew is lacking (or at least the heat saps me of all enthusiasm).

@Morzel, I love those napkins. I've saved the link as I think it's a great way to use up lovely fabrics.

I am sewing napkins right now using what a friend from Romania taught me. She is a fabulous sewer and everything she makes is really neatly done. When done, I will have used up 3.5 meters of fabric I bought in 2017. I have the fabric to make placemats and soup bowl covers to go with the napkins. All in Christmas print.

That's lovely - unusual, and very nice, fabric.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

My latest make is a first dress for my 7 month old GD.  It’s Puperita Mini Tulip Overall Dress.

I wanted a good basic that I can play about with. It’s quick and easy and I look forward to making some more.  I’ve just realised I’ve swapped the button hole and button placements but I’m sure little Casey won’t mind.

It’s lined so being generous to myself I’m claiming 0.5m 0_0  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Ooh that's lovely.  I do like Puperita patterns - I think this is one I need as I would like to make one (or both) of my little goddaughters a denim pinafore dress.

Their nappy cover pants pattern (this one) is excellent too.

[Edited to add that I think your way round with the buttons makes more sense anyway - that's how I would do it.]

I have been sorting/tidying my fabric cupboard as I could not shut the doors anymore which was rather a hindrance.
I have half a bagful to give away but a feeling it could easily be a lot more... so just hope I can make some headway.

What a pretty little dress @Ellabella - love the fabric too, and especially the piping. <3

NL 6213 made from thin satin stuff - probably bought for lining.

Hate it.  Don't even know why I finished it.  It's too tight across the bust, and why I chose to make something with gathers above the bust, I have no idea.

Fabric frayed like the devil, the tie slips out of the loop, and I hated making it.

Still, it used about 2 mtrs of stash, and I may wear it in the garden.
