I have find find one of these in the charity shop. It's so beautiful. Now I don't need it. But....See above. Looked up the serial number and it's dated 1952ish. It's £110. Is that reasonable?

They go for twice that (sometimes more :ninja: ) on Ebay.

Why haven't you bought it? You know it needs a home. Go and haggle....

It's all very well saying that you don't need it, but what about when you do need it - you'll never find one then!!

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

If it’s in good condition I think you should go for it.  They usually go for twice that amount.  Saw a cream one on Thursday, very pretty.  Sadly it was owned by someone and not for sale.  :(

Oh we are such a bunch of enablers, aren't we!! Hope you enjoy it - they appear to go for silly prices dont they!  I still have a hankering for one but simply daren't mention it!!
I have learnt by my mistakes: Sewing machines now are Bernina 720, Bernina 1008, Bernina 801 from 1981, Brother overlocker, ancient but works well
