Having done my first quilt ever, a log cabin Christmas tree, I bought my first ever quilt book and it was this one. I thought all quilts used these techniques and it blew my mind!
I suppose they do to a certain extent as without the dark/light shading, the effect is not so dramatic.
Your colours are lovely Pearl. Good luck choosing a block layout!  ;)

Some of the peeps I work with thought I was making it up so I have the lyrics printed out and pinned to the wall.
I also have this fer a bitta culture!  ;)

@Pearl if you have a look at the Project Linus thread Imi has posted a link to last year's entries and StitchinTime's balloons have a log cabin background. It's so clever and very subtle.  :loveit:
