Why is the Sent Message box empty when I have sent a PM to a member?

@sewmuchmore Have you changed the look and layout of the forum to a different theme? I don’t use the standard theme and one disadvantage is that I don’t get the option to see my sent message folder.

If you are using the standard format, did you tick the box to “save a copy in my outbox” when you sent the message?

There is a box you need to tick to enable sent messages to be saved.  By default it is unticked.  I think this is really stupid, but it's how the software does it.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I've just looked - go to your Messages.  Bottom of the left hand menu is 'Change Settings', click on it and then scroll down to the last but one option.  Tick the box.

I found it when I couldn't work out where my sent messages had gone.
Why on earth would you make 'not saving sent messages' the default?

Because lazybones like me would soon be overwhelmed with stored data. I'm glad they're not saved

Well I suppose it depends how often you send PMs.

Ah, I have only sent a very few since I joined.
Not much to say I suppose (although that would raise a laugh with people who know me IRL).
