OK, I'm in.  Just for the Mary Poppins coat - I've already started the dress.

I may also fit another outfit in if that's allowed.

Jessie

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

I'm in, there is a piece of flamingo print cotton that I bought for me, but is too twee really. It will be a dress for DGD who is 2 1/2 and fine with twee. Also I will make a start on sewing for the expected DGS3 who arrives in June.
A day without sewing is a day wasted.

Is there an upper age limit? I'm just about to start on a pineapple print shirt dress for my 8 year old - this might be the incentive to get me going!! But I also have an 11 year old too who will probably want something (most likely another shirt dress)

This is the last weekend of carnival this year and our little Wolf needs a nice carnival costume for his first party ;)
But it has to be quick, because on Tuesday is the "big party day".

Bodgeits's 1st entry  0_0

The first little romper suit I've sewn for my first grandson due in June.

It's from Simplicity 8098, view B, but without the top half/shirt section.
For the first time ever, I traced off the pattern in case I want it for bigger sizes.  As I omitted the upper half, I even did it properly and cut some facing bits for the top edges, and had to extend the straps to go down the back (they finish at the shoulders on the pattern).
I sent my daughter a pic and she said "it's amazing".  I wouldn't go that far...

...ok working on the pic...

Oh, did it, but sorry it's a bit large!

I don't know if this will count, not done any actual sewing yet, but will do soon. My youngest is going to world book day at school and has chosen to go as his  "lift the flap human body" book!

So far he has helped me draw internal organs onto a t-shirt. Next i have been instructed to create an opening rib cage and skin. Found some appropriate material and now getting my thinking cap on. Probably sew felt onto stiff interfacing, sew felt backbone to t-shirt, link back bone to sternum with ribs and have double sternum that opens like a door. Then sew waistcoat type vest with flesh coloured lining to go over the top.
Lurking in Lancashire, improving my sewing when life gives me time.

That's brilliant!  Is he going to be a doctor - or maybe a pathologist!!?!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Too bad this wasn't the Feb. contest.  I spent most of the month sewing bibs (16), leggings (5) and Barbie clothes (lots) for my grandsweeties.  Maybe I can fit in something before the end of the month.
