Botanic trousers.  To my mind, they are more like culottes.

I'd call them culottes, but I like them. I have an old pattern for very voluminous pleated trousers, and have been tempted to try it. This one is floor length, but I think the cropped look would bring it up to date.

I wouldn't go for the trousers but I do like her top.

I had culottes like this back in the 90's, and wore them a lot.  I wonder what I was thinking.....

Like the top though.

My only voluminous trousers are for my steampunk outfits- I have giant Eric-Morecambe jodhpurs, vast cycling bloomers, and an enormous shocking pink African print riding skirt/culottes.
Great fun, but I wouldn't for everyday!

The pattern is available here - don't know why it's in Spanish.  There was also a sewalong of the Carme and Bee made's is beautiful.

I think the Botanic is too short to be trousers, yet too long for culottes.
