Mini Sampler Quilt

To make a change from full size quilts, I’ve gone a bit smaller for my latest bit of sewing. The pattern is the Sew Tiny Sampler and was stitched using foundation paper piecing (thread reel and sleepy cat for scale).

Oh very dainty. That must have taken some patience.

Gorgeous little quilt.   :)
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Replace “patience” with “swearing” and you’ll be nearer the construction process, though it was very easy to layer it.

As to entering a quilt for FOQ, I’d rather spend the time making a quilt or two for Project Linus than a show standard quilt.

Beautiful! How did those tiny bits not disappear into the sewing machine? I rarely sew tiny things, but when I do I find they poke down into the hole under the needle. You must be using a very fine and sharp needle. Congratulations on having the patience and skill to do it.

@Sheilago This was done using foundation paper piecing so the small pieces of fabric were stitched onto a larger piece of paper. I must admit that I didn’t bother to change to a finer needle, but I did use a 60 wt thread.
