@BrendaP  its complete and the sooner its layered (and the mess on the other side is hidden) the better!

That's a big, and time consuming, job for Elvis  :sew: even after you've sourced the backing fabric. :S

@BrendaP  ... Elvis only comes out of his bodybag (nasty placky thing that it is) for labels, The Splurgess quilts.

Ooh @Iminei - that's the second time recently that you've made me like grey.  And I really don't like grey normally.

'Tis beautiful.   0_0
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Well I really cant take any of the credit for the colours .. theyre Oakshott colours which are scintillating as they are woven not printed.

And I think nice Grey fabric is quite hard to find (over here ... the Americans seem to have loads)

Why I dont know or maybe its the English light? As opposed to ... well those blues that look so gorgeous when holidaying in the Greek islands look nothing like that back over here do they?

@BrendaP  its complete and the sooner its layered (and the mess on the other side is hidden) the better!

But first I need some extra wide backing fabric ... I was thinking of a bit more of @LeilaMay 's fabric that she whizzed over to me, the stuff that was left over from your first quilt Leila, black, white and grey umbells ???

Were you wanting to know what it was?
Same as I told you before, from MIDSOMER - still the same price too which was the bit I think you didn't like LOL  :)

Yes LM, Ouch indeed ...

Funds are now running low chez Imi as I have now been nonearning for over a year ...
so I really must dig through the ridiculous amount of stash I have and see if I have anything remotely suitable.

Size will be the problem. :(

WOW! This was buried all the way at the bottom of page 6 !!! Am I really that lazy or are we just a lot of chatterboxes ??

Anyhoo ... BIG News ..... After the to-ing and fro- ing, humming and Haaing over the backing fabric, a few weeks ago when I was showing Pearl around Dorchesters premier Quilting Emporia I found THE perfect Backing fabric ... and it was extra wide!

Today I received a pic from my Longarmer ...

FAB U Lous!!!!

Now just to sort out an approriate Binding and soon I shall be snuggled under the 100 shades!

Your quilts always have such fabulous backings and bindings, @Iminei .  Can't wait to see this when it's quilted.   <3

Looking good. I wish I wasn't such a pauper cheapskate and bought actual fabric for backing  :| but I can't justify the cost to myself  :|

Think that might be my problem too, @Lowena .  Also, it takes me so long to get to that stage that I'm fed up of the quilt by the time I have to think about backing and binding.
