Ok Gang, I need some input here ...

Binding!

I need your opinions about bindings ....

ALBUM

Choices at the end of the album ... click on one pic and the i Icon to bring up description next to the image

Remember that there are blues, purples, mauve's and greens in the quilt as well as the yellows, oranges and reds, also that I would have to find some more Butterfly Ball (????) from fabric freedom (I think) Now identified as Timeless Treasures ..... Yes Lowena I only have 160" of it  :P although I could perhaps intersperse it with plain grey ...

Have no idea how much I need, I think the quilt is 80" x 90"   OK I  thought I d show some willing an have measured it ... its approx 77" x 88" @Brenda

I will have to buy some more Grey  -< sigh!

Alternatively other ideas, except piecing Oakshott scraps ... are more than welcome!

I like Option Five, the very last one.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I think I like 2.
Life's too short for ironing.

I like 2 & 3.  The colours stand out but also it is more geometric, like the quilt pattern.

Really? ><
77+77+88+88 =330, so say 350, divide by 42 makes 7.8, so 8 strips(wof) times your preferred width.

Don't forget that your 'Butterfly ball' came from the dregs of someone's ancient stash off ebay so may now be impossible to find.  :o

I prefer option five as it's slightly wider and shows more of the colours. What is that fabric...I love it!  :loveit:

The flange ones look a bit odd but I don't know why.  8)

???? Really ... I know that I have bought it myself from the Local Emporia that (though it still is) is no more ...
Did I need some more and put a call out somewhen then Wrenken (see what I did then ??)

THAT fabulous fabric proves procrastination can be a virtue. I had some black with grey detail fabric bought for the 100 shades but sat on it for months ... then, this half term when VIP Pearl came to stay we headed to Paulines Patchwork (In Poundbury) and there it was this glorious 108" wide (Woo Hoo!!! no joins) Backing fabric, just waiting for me!

Radiance 108" Quilt Back by Colour Principle for Henry Glass

Is the information you need!

There was no hesitation ... 2 and a bit metres went straight into my basket!

Yes. You didn't quite have enough to finish a project and I just happened to be looking for butterfly fabric on ebay.  0_0
That Pauline doesn't have radiance on her website.  :S

Give 'em a call @wrenkins ... they're very helpful and they have a huge amount of stock.

You have the name and number (ish) of the fabric its in the extra wides.

I have an alternative to the butterfly wings ... What makes me unsure about using the backing fabric for the border is that there is a lot of blues, greens and purples in the quilts as well as the yellows, oranges and reds.

I will post a pic later ......
