Hi everyone. I live in Cheshire though I'm originally from Liverpool
I'm taking up sewing again after many years, I used to make soft toys the biggest was a sit upon lion for my two grandsons. Now I want to make children's clothes and toys etc for my granddaughter and new great granddaughter. I'm looking forward to being part of such a lovely group

Welcome @Pam11 . Don't know whereabouts you are in Cheshire but if you are anywhere near Macclesfield do you know about Shufflebothams and the Fent Shop?

lovely. ill miss it sew much.

I am in Runcorn and a lot of places are out of hubbys comfort driving zone these days...it would have been nice to have a mooch around.

The sit upon Lion is a project i will be doing between other projects as he's such a big boy and my great granddaughter Ellie is only three weeks old lol.

In the past l have made monkeys, christmas cats, ribbon cushions done in a basketweave effect, l cant recall the term for it lol. My first ever project was in the early seventies a pattern called Puddles the Dog, l had never sewn before and did him all by hand as l didnt own a machine. I made four that turned out pretty good. Then l moved house, my new neighbour who moved in not long after got me into cross stitch, sewing and knitting.
I can't knit or do cross stitch anymore due to arthritis and my disability but sew when l can. my last project was a twirly skirt l made for my youngest granddaughter
l'm really looking forward to getting stuck in again and becoming a part of the family here

Sorry Pamn for modifying your first post but we have peeps all over the world who have not yet seen GBSB and we agreed to spoiler any names, hope you dont mind!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.
