I think I may be able to do this one. I have been mulling it over for a bit along with a need for some summer work clothes, some new patterns to try and and a sudoko//capsule structure.

2 groups are blues and browns, with brown having a fairly broad stretch from mustard to coffee via rust. Each group will have 2 tops, 1 trousers and either skirt, dress or other trouser. Joining piece is beige/mushroom lightweight unlined jacket.

I have sewn 3 pieces that could make the final cut. Main blocks to entry will be failing to find a way  to take photos that aren't huge, a butterfly mind and the demands of the garden.

@Manuela I have a question.  I have my colors and fabrics, but not sure if there is a difference enough for color.

Group one is navy:
Navy guipure skirt
Navy button blouse with embilishment
Yellow, navy and white plaid pant
Navy satin top

Group 2 is bold:
Royal blue and gold brocade skirt
gold or ivory top
Navy Hawaiian print with large pink and white flowers
Navy sequin jogger pants
Coral georgette top with navy, white and gold embroidery

Bride: navy topper of some kind

I shall not be entering this contest now, trying to sew for it is making me unhappy, which is not really the point is it? I have only made two items so far, but had 2 goes at a skirt, and one top which I scrapped.
I will look forward to seeing what the rest of you make, however.

I also had been mulling over the idea of entering this competition but things kept getting in the way of even starting! I’ll be watching with interest to see all your plans develop. If there’s a similar competition next year, I will make a concerted effort to enter! Good luck all!

I'm late to this but now the evenings are dark (it's only 8:30 and it's pitch black outside for goodness sake), the sewing room is calling.

Also, I have two yummy tweeds, one in pink/olive and one in peaty brown and kingfisher blue. I've been thinking about sewing a mini capsule to go with each, and the new Ottobre magazine has plenty of possibilities. Time to raid the stash!

I'm planning some Autumn pieces, which will mostly stand alone. Then I'll have a look over what I have sewn and see if it is close to SWAKOP. I like colour and pattern a lot so might be tricky to have a genuine bridging piece.

Here are the sage pieces I sewed over the Summer, there are 10 pieces shown here
3 knit tops, 1 woven top
1 RTW jacket, 1 sewn cardigan
a knee length skirt, a long print skirt, some stretch trousers and some trousers with turnups.

I shall pick 4/5 items out of those for the first colour grouping for SWAKOP.

@Manuela, could these dark grey stretch trousers be used as a 'bridge' piece?

I would be able to wear them with all the tops and layers in both sides of the SWAKOP but not really with the other bottoms!

However I see from the rules it is supposed to be some sort of over garment - jacket, coat, cape, vest - so maybe not.

Quote
you will also make 1 bridge garment, a piece of garment that coordinates with both of your groups. This can be made in a neutral colour, a print, etc. Ideally it’ll be some sort of over garment (jacket, coat, cape, vest) that can be worn with most of the combinations you have in your groups.

Please do let me know as I thought I'd solved my @bridge' problem, with these, but maybe not.

Hmm, I see the bridge garment more as something worn with outfits of both groups, a jacket/coat/cardi/duster/shrug or similar kind of thing @SewRuthieSews
