@b15erk I had the genius idea of buying plain ones and dying them but I'm too impatient...also I forgot and dyed my fabric yesterday.
I'll maybe just do a simpler cheaty version now.
The corduroy has come out a gorgeous shade of green
but the flowers are still 5h1t brown,
I have two jacket patterns and I intended to make a practice version of one or other with this fabric before investing more than 2/8d in posher stuff.
We'll see!
Right!
Here's the pattern. I want to do a Mandarin/stand up collar but I want it right round to meet at the front. Not with a big gap because the front falls away...and that leads me to problem number two. I want the fronts to come round and meet...not swoop away on a curve.
I want patch pockets, if any, and straight sleeves...not big bells. Apart from that the pattern is just right.
I had a quilted jacket similar to this years ago and I loved it so I'll just make it up as I go along.
This is the fabric before I dyed it and when my phone has sufficient charge I'll post an after. There is no lurex anywhere! The description is a lie!
I'm off now to read up on binding seams...where's Esme's phone number?!?!?!?!
