Thanks...it's not a huge deal to be honest.  Not sure what is going on...I want an Elvis impersonator and actual, you know TIME to get a dress, but it's been a volatile topic in the duck pond for a while.

@Kwaaked Many Congratulations on your forthcoming Nuptials!

@wrenkins will you give us a step by step of your frogs? I've just ordered some - cowardy custard me... :|

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

@b15erk I had the genius idea of buying plain ones and dying them but I'm too impatient...also I forgot and dyed my fabric yesterday.  >< I'll maybe just do a simpler cheaty version now.
The corduroy has come out a gorgeous shade of green  :loveit: but the flowers are still 5h1t brown,  :x
I have two jacket patterns and I intended to make a practice version of one or other with this fabric before investing more than 2/8d in posher stuff.
We'll see!  8)

Right! Here's the pattern. I want to do a Mandarin/stand up collar but I want it right round to meet at the front. Not with a big gap because the front falls away...and that leads me to problem number two. I want the fronts to come round and meet...not swoop away on a curve.  :S
I want patch pockets, if any, and straight sleeves...not big bells. Apart from that the pattern is just right.  0_0 I had a quilted jacket similar to this years ago and I loved it so I'll just make it up as I go along.
This is the fabric before I dyed it and when my phone has sufficient charge I'll post an after. There is no lurex anywhere! The description is a lie!  ><
I'm off now to read up on binding seams...where's Esme's phone number?!?!?!?!

Mine is now cut out... again. After the disaster with the Joni dress I've just about managed to cut out a brand new bodice using the Lekala pattern and am going to try and frankenpattern them together. I really want to get this done, mainly as it's going to be one of my SWAKOP pieces too (is that allowed @Manuela ?)

Yes @Francesca, you can enter SWAKOP pieces into other contests too  :)

I've almost finished my garment and sadly I won't have time to start the 2nd one as I'm going away.

I remember having problems getting the photos right last time so @Manuela  I'm wondering if you could point me to instructions as I'll only have a day or so when I get back to post. Also is it this thread we post the entries?

Hoping I will have time to enter this contest, as I won't be able to start sewing until May 28th... but I have some fabric, intended for a TNT blouse, that I consider to be a floral. Well it has flowers and leaves, even if not the traditional "summertime floral".

I made a lovely one metre square cowboy scarf last year, in a soft drapey floral rayon from Fabricland.

Thank you @Manuela , I've copied the rules so will work on it! I seem to think my pictures were not 'in the right place on my computer' the last time and wouldn't upload, heaven knows why though so I'll be aware of that.
