Hi,I am new here. I'd describe my sewing as basic but adequate. I used to dress make. However I am struggling to make unlined curtains with a fabric I find difficult,a beautiful Prague chenille, and an hoping someone can point me to information,or tutorials,on handling this.

Welcome Dorothy.  I'm afraid I can't help with your curtain query but I see you have posted in House Beautiful so hopefully someone will come to your rescue.

Hey Dorothy,

I got this Betzina book , Fabric Savvy. For chenille, is says to tailor tack if you mark something, use an walking or teflon foot. Watch out for the nap! For pressing, cover the surface with a fluffy towel and place right side of chenille against towel. No pressing on the right side or you will flatten the nap, which will show. She uses a universal 80 needle. Hope this helps.
