I would take a lot of these comments with a pinch of salt Rene, and yes as an American designer designing for the American market why the hell wouldnt she use her native vocabulary ???

Im just pleased to ninepence to find these panels ... they are lush ... but I do wonder where the Fairy has been??
I would have thought this was right up @DementedFairy 's street!!!

Now back to topic ... what to do ???

I dont make bags ... tho' I wish I could ... (Proper handbag bags tho', not just a tote )... but I did mosey around the charities at the weekend for a 'distressed' black jeans jacket!!!
My word, you would think they never existed ...  nothing at all in black let alone in denim ...

So WHERE have all the jeans jackets gone?????  :o

@Renegade Sewist - you are definitely a friend! I agree that an American designer should use American spellings - why not? I think our problem is that that English language as we were taught it is eroding faster than the polar ice caps. Young people often only write in text language and even reporters in the local papers regularly get spellings and phraseology wrong. Those of us who are old enough to have had correct spelling drummed into us have become over-sensitive I expect!

Tote bags??  Always useful, 'specially now that they're charging for supermarket bags.

FWIW, I love it.  I would buy it just to sit and look at it!  ;)

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

TBH I didn't notice the spellings until it was pointed out, although I do always try to use correct British English in anything I write.  It's just the general design of that fabric which I think is naff :x

Well this is what I did with mine. I was originally going to make the skirt just using the fabric piece but it was about 1 inch too long and I didn't want to shorten it and loose the design. So I ended up cutting the panels and then sewing them onto black canvas. I knew I would get to use those buttons one day.
I have a panel left so watch this space.
@Iminei hope this cheers you up.
