We are a nosey lot so do please post photos - beginners stuf is just as interesting as that from the seasoned sewists.
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Hi Claret, welcome here! I was a beginner once too - nowadays youtube and internet are a good source to be taught. Do show what you sew up! Quilts, garments, deco? I started with girls dresses for my niece - she wasn't too picky about straight seams, as long as the dress was either pink or flowery or flouncy...  :D
