Is this finished

Last Saturday I attended a Jan Hassard Workshop at Paulines Patchwork in Poundbury.....

The intended completed project, Spirals, was to look something like a third of this...

Seriously I saw this up close and personal on the day and it is absolutely eeeenormous!

Its was a fun workshop and despite sewing the last strip wrong...THREE times I had fun and a quarter of the main body of the piece was finished by the time the ladies at PP threw me out.

So now I am asking you girls to tell me if my (much smaller) attempt is finished.

My point of concern are the top and bottom borders...

Do they need a bit like the side border to 'complete' it ???
I have as ever run out of the feature batik fabric, but have enough of the side border to continue it...

Opinions please????

good grief no.  I have made two quilts in my life, random scrap busting crazy quilts...and I HATED the quilting part.  Hated hated hated.

Gah

And all to make a ruddy blanket...

We ALL hate the quilting part after a while as it goes on and on and on (and on in some cases, Lantern wall hanging, I'm looking at you!!  )

but making something spectaquila and unique is something else; whether it be for hanging on a wall (avert your ears/eyes Low), hanging round yourself and your hunny on a cold night in front of the telly or laying on your bed.

Looks finished to me.

If you add a side border it will have to look like the side of the strips. If it's wide enough, why make more work for yourself? Or are you just putting off the quilting?

I can't see it either - just getting a no entry sign.
Life's too short for ironing.

Thank you for enabling me to see it.   :)

It is very beautiful and looks finished to me.  Is it the same pattern as this?  (#20 on my to do list)

I can't see it, only the one that it is supposed to be a third of, there is no link in the post that I'm getting.
