This was one of the projects keeping me busy during my 3 weeks in Thailand. We couldn’t find any Futon we really liked, hence we only bought the frame and mattress and I did the rest. The Futon sits in the newly renovated second bedroom (which is basically a mini cinema) and serves as a guest bed as well.
The Chinese character ‘水’ appliquéd on the cushion means ‘water’ - this is what you see when you look out the window, the Gulf of Thailand.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

That's lovely - gives me inspiration to make a new cover for our futon. It's been pink ever since our now 42 year old daughter was a youngster and it served as a spare bed in her bedroom.
If life gives you lemons, add to gin and tonic !

Superb job @Manuela and I love the colours too. Definitely time my futon had a new 'suit of clothes', I feel  ;)
