Hello from Sunny Spain!
« on: August 19, 2019, 14:48:30 PM »
Hello to everyone! I am so pleased to have found this forum! I was a member of the old TSF and missed it so much when it disappeared! I imagine not many of you will remember me, as I did no post often, but so many of your names are familiar from TSF. I learned a great deal from many of you!
 I have not been sewing much over the last four years due to work commitments - looooong story, but such is life, but I think that I will now be able to devote a bit more time to my beloved hobby. I am not very good, a newbie really, but I do enjoy sewing. I love quilting, but am also trying hard to learn more about dressmaking.

As for the rest of what makes me tick; I love cooking, and experimenting with different styles of cuisine, I am married to a long suffering Mr. Man, who puts up with the trail of pins and thread that surrounds me, and I have three children, the older two, girl and boy, are all grown up, and the youngest girl, is 12 and now about to start secondary school. I love animals and we have one dog, chihuahua, Pocket, who is eight and two cats, one is in my avatar, that is Domino, and Bobbie, who is a recent rescue, an ENORMOUS Maine Coone.

So, I look forward to being here and sharing in this lovely forum. By the way, I have baked an enormous chocolate cake, would anyone like a piece?  0_0

@Lachica

Hi, I am in Girona province - not quite as warm as you, but warm enough at this time of year - you say you are on your way back to UK, permanently, or for a visit?

@Lisalou1965 we're hoping our house here will sell soon. We used to come here for Spring & autumn but now have grandchildren so can only come in school holidays. We love the area but this is the first time we've been in summer and the activities we usually enjoy, petanca & community gardening, don't run in summer heat. Sewing club still meets but no aircon in the community hall so we fan ourselves & chat as no-one has the energy to sew. The beaches are lovely but we've had 3 weeks of snorkelling & sitting under a brolly. I sound like a right whinger don't I?
