I'm going to undo my machine binding on the mug rug and hand stitch. Imagine if someone lifted it and turned it over!  :o I would be mortified.

Mine is going to be 6.5 inch square. I too will be hand stitching the binding.

FINICHED!
Just a couple of small refaynments and it's good to go!
Usual nonsense...bobbin ran out half way round, didn't quite catch the bit I was trying to cheat take a shortcut over... but it's done!  0_0
I must say it's not like me to finish so far from the wire. Not like me at all.

I'm planning on playing tomorrow. Boys first day at school and I recon I've earned a day off. All ready for the morning, eldest first day at high school and he's got to leave the house a whole hour earlier than he's used to for the bus.

Going to look through the fabric and for inspiration now they are in bed.

Have a rough idea what I want to achieve but need to get my painting work to a stage where I can stop first. Then I'll start hunting through my stash and see if I need to do some shopping. :)

I have a pattern I want to try, suitable for this.  I have the dog walker coming tomorrow, so I can start and hopefully finish the mugrug  :) :vintage:

OK, I’m in. Once it is made, what do I do next?

Hi @Sara-S you pm @Iminei your address and head the message 'mug rug swap'. We will then be drawn a swapee, in secret.  :)

@Lilian   - with batik I just use whichever side looks best to me. If you can't see a difference, then it doesn't matter.

Thx Fajita for answering Lilians question xxx
