I want one! It folds the thread into a loop and stitches it down to make a beautiful chain stitch on top of the fabric. Like couching but with a single thread. Unfortunately they are very rare and cost hundreds. There is a U spring on it which is irreplaceable. Surely there are spring manufacturers still?

Yes, one of the most sought after extras for a featherweight - you'll find info about them on the featherweight shop site too. But pricey pricey
