How many machines when you first joined TSP or its predecessor and now?

I had 3 sewing machines and an overlocker. Since joining forums I have added another overlocker and a coverstitch machine (bought 2nd hand from @Gernella). So that’s 4 to 6. However, I will soon be trading my main machine and my original overlocker for a brandy new sewing machine. I fancy a Juki. Iminei has already staked claim on my car passenger seat when I drive up to visit the sewing machine dealer.

That includes overlockers, coverstitch and 1940/50s vintage.

But the 99K has moved from 'it was mum's and although she never used it she kept it and I can't bring myself to do anything about parting with it' to 'machines like this seem to be popular with those who know more than me' so it is now staying with a very nice man who is checking it and fitting it with a motor.

Started with 2- a very old Riccar serger, and my beloved Pfaff 1475.

Now- 5- new serger (still have the old awaiting repair) replaced the 1475 with a QE 4.2 (it was an upgrade, but NOT an improvement!) and added a Featherweight and a treadle. My daughter got the 1475- it still works but can no longer handle higher speeds. And I'm constantly eyeing older mechanical machines and awaiting a chance to buy a Viking similar to one I had decades ago.

2 now 3. A 1980’s Singer that belonged to my late MIL. An old Toyota and a Janome. An overlocker is on the cards for the future. Encouraged by what I read on here

I had one and still have the same one. Perfectly happy with it and still learning how to use some functions!

I can't really remember but I had 1 overlocker and I think 2 SMs  now have 1 o/l and 5 SMs although one is not in use or wanted

I’v just joined recently, so I still have the same 3 as before.

I had a Janome sewing machine,  now ha very a Janome overlocker, and a Pfaff 3.2 which I bought from Annieg.
