Lovely Stitches ... well done !!!

.... and may I present the first bag chez Imi ...

and with the matching curtains (still waiting to be hung)

Linky to the Album

Thank you Sheilago,

It stands at 11" tall and is remarkably roomy, its not perfect as the lining seems a lil too big (my fault) but I like it ... who knows I may even make another ?!

I love both your cross body bags @Stitches  <3. Lovely work - what pattern did you use?

@Iminei - great bag (and curtains  :)), you did your gorgeous fabric proud.

And @Greybird, yours looks so professional! There's nothing wrong with faux leather, no animals suffered and the quality theses days is fab. I made a faux leather jacket so I'm probably biased - just don't call it pvc...

These are mine - both 10" x 6" approx. They will probably be gifts.

No. 1 has faux leather corners and a satin lining

No. 2 has Kraft-tex corners

Now I could do with a cross body bag...

Can’t believe we’ve now got to the end of the month and we can now see all the bags. They’re all looking great - some people will be lucky to get one of those bags as a present.  :D

These bags are all brilliant.  I'm afraid I didn't have any inspiration.

Oh yes - here's my bag, modest though it is.  The pictures of the bag are really bad, but somehow the camera wouldn't pick up the contrast properly, so I've added the close-ups too.  It has French seams and decorative stitching on the top hem and the handles.

It's now with its new owner (my Mum), who is loving and using it.

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Here’s mine. Nowhere near as adventurous as the others, but it’s a gift for my sister, so I happy with it.
I still need to find a suitable button. I might have to visit some charity shops to see if there’s anything that might work. I’ve also been making little coin purses to trial as potential Christmas gifts.
I really enjoy these sorts of little projects.

They’re stunning!  :loveit:  I particularly like the fabric choices on the first bag.

Hmm. I think I may need to up my game a bit here. Stunning bags everyone  :D

Anyway, here's my effort. All made from a front door curtain that I had when the door wasn't double-glazed. The greeny fabric was left from piping I made round a matching bench cushion and the red starry fabric is the only new piece.

Daddy Bag, made as per instructions. 11.5" tall, 32" round. I'm keeping my belly-dancing hip scarves in it.

Next I made Baby Bag, 6" tall, 11.5" round, based on a sheet of A4 paper, to put inside my small rucksack which has no inner pockets so small stuff sinks to the bottom and sculls about. May need to adapt the fastening if it upends and things sneak out.

And finally, Mummy Bag 10" tall, 20.5" round, based on a tabloid newspaper. Idea pinched from Ploshkin who pinched it from someone else!  A handy sewing-bin, as you can see. Couldn't find a suitable flat thing for the weight so used a large pebble from the garden wrapped in leftover polyester wadding and wrapped again. If I find something better I can unwrap it and re-do.

Practised lots of rotary cuttering on these, a bit of sort-of quilting but not FMQ on Daddy bag and Stitch-in-the ditching on baby bag.

Oh yes, Bernina in the background as she did all the work  ;-)
