Gads what's happening to me.....I spent forever...and I mean forever in the P&Q shop yesterday looking for the perfect shade of yellow :o :S for the background of this quilt! Yellow...I never buy yellow....I never wear yellow....the only yellow  I like is a banana or a custard and even that is a pale yellow but the shade I've come home with is bright, sunflower yellow  :x and sigh....it looks good.
A sad, sad day for me indeed. I can't believe I've turned to bright, bold, "buzz in your face" colours and shades after a lifetime of autumnal mutes and shades. And I haven't even been drinking...much......

Could be a reaction to a lifetime of muted colours ????

Greybird you are very naughty! LOL! :x

Oh my goodness, I feel like I'm a little brown bird sitting in its nest looking at a big freakin' yellow cuckoo that has somehow hatched in my nest amongst all my lovely little brown and muted birdies. Not sure how I feel about it but I suppose I must love it as it has hatched in my nest!   I'm feeling quite unsure about it and may never be able to eat banana custard again! Pics to follow once I stop changing my mind about the layout....and the yellow....and the big red flowers..and the......and the.....sigh....I just need to go and stroke some nice dark batiks for a while and then I'll be fine.

I like number two - those are blocks are awesome! You are so clever, I can never see myself doing anything quite that complicated and getting it right, my blocks would never match up.

I think the plain background shows off the blocks better - how would that one look with the yellow squares behind the circles?
