I would like to near your ideas and suggestion on what contests you would like to see and participate in next year. Feel free to suggest a time frame as well.
I want to put a contest list together, as I did last year, so that everybody who wants to participate can plan ahead.
Fire away please   :D

Manuela, how about a kantha, sashiko or boro piece? This could be anything from a mugrug or a wrap or cushion, to a coat.

And, lots of folk here have sewing machines they don't often use. So how about a make from our least used machine(s)?. The rules could be something simple like a shopping bag.

@Manuela, could we have a reminder of last year's list, please?  Personally, I'd like a coat and jacket contest.

The SWAKOP is a huge commitment and I think quite a few start (with good intentions) and don't manage to see it through. I don't even consider it because I know I won't have the time to do the number of garments.k
So, what about a mini SWAKOP - 3 coordinating garments that can each be worn with one of the others.  Bonus points if all 3 can be worn together - or something along those lines.
Life's too short for ironing.

How about a 6PAC of any combination spread over 2 or 3 months?

Just checked this years and perhaps a repeat of the stash busting one? Maybe we could make it a seasonal one twice a year?

I'd like to do stripes again as I didn't get to do what I had planned.

I like all the wardrobe ones but do find SWAKOP goes on a bit long and I get a bit fed up of it (sorry!) so like the idea of shorter seasonal/mini collections.

How about a trousers pants one where you have to show front, side and back of them on the person once made.

I like some of the already suggested ideas, like Boro/Kantha, and stripes (well I always like stripes!)...

I'm also thinking that a "Lovely Lingerie" contest would be nice; could be anything worn underneath a garment but not on it's own, so bras, camisoles, slips/petticoats, panties/knickers, etc.

Or what about an "Awesome Accesories" contest where the person would have to show the outfit that the accessory/accessories were meant to coordinate with; could be hats, bags, scarves, or even fabric jewelry...

I'll add more as I come up with ideas

Manipulating fabric - pleats, tucks, cutouts etc
Fabric swap - send one of your unloveds on to another person to  make something. Say 2m limit possibly.
Metallics - gold, silver etc.
Unusual fastenings - not your normal zips, buttons.
Activewear - definitely not me - well, I'd make a headband!
Pockets.
Something reversible.

@UttaRetch  There is still the thread 'contests in 2019'  in this section.  All there to remind me that I thought they all looked possible.  Number finished (on time) 1.

I was inactive for most of this year, which is why it is good to see what I missed, not that I could have got my act together to take part in any of them.  :D
