Quick table runner
« on: November 03, 2019, 19:00:42 PM »
My sister 'ordered' a Christmas table runner for her in-laws and I needed to do something quick - especially as it needed to be 1.8m long! It uses Winter Manor fabric from Moda which I.really like for a subtle Christmas feel. I just need to quilt (once I have decided how!), back and self bind in more Winter Manor fabric.

While I had it laid out to measure to double check my piecing in inches converted to the request in cm correctly, my helpful cat decided to check it all...

I love the way puss is sitting perfectly in the centre of the runner pattern  :). Hopefully no claw sharpening went on!

Love the colours you chose.

They have a knack for settling just where you don't want them! (Nice runner, BTW) :)

No claw sharpening as he knows better than that! He just has to investigate anything I am doing that doesn’t involve him...

Aw, love the runner - and your furry assistant is gorgeous too! They are such inquisitive souls, aren't they? Mine will also come and help me at the most dire moments too - when you drop a needle/are trying to measure/are trying to clear threads out of the machine....you name it.
If you see me with a seam ripper, now is not a good time

Haha! I have you know several tiny fish on a piece of elastic all joined to one stick is one of the best toys invented... it is an acceptable stand in when there are no mice or birds to be caught and fetched in..ll  -<
