Before I made the basic t-shirt I initially bought the fabric for this. The top   panels are lined with nude jersey in order to prevent knicker show through!

That's lovely!  Might have to nick that idea for a holiday skirt!  Love those stripes.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Thanks jess, nothing original about it though. It comes from a SEW sew Easy freebie. Just changed the cutting out so the panels line up at the side seams. The original patterns is a bit random.

I made the tee shirt that went with that skirt.

Didn’t think I ought to do the skirt as well or I would have looked a bit like a humbug.

I agree, @Ellabella , you can have too much of a good thing! Good job it wasn't in red - could look like a barber's pole! Fun pattern to make up though and dead easy. I can't see me wearing it with  the striped t- shirt - plain's the way to go.
